Noriko Nishidate

(Japan, 1988), member within the project »EKG+, contemporary dance ensemble«, since January 2015.

Noriko comes from Tokyo, Japan, and came to Slovenia to join the company M&N in the 2014 for the project Urban Tales. She finished her professional dance studies at JWCPE (Japan Woman’s College of Physical Education), Dance Major Tokyo, Yoshihara Ballet Academy Tokyo, SEAD Salzburg – Academy for contemporary dancers in Austria. She was a member of Natural Dance Theatre and collaborated with Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company. She was also a guest dancer of Bodhi Project Company, where she worked with Nigel Charnock, Christine Gouzelis and Paul Blackman. Noriko was also successful with her choreographic work. She won 1st prize at the International Competition of Young Dance Performance – OPUS 1, received the second prize on the Artistic Movement in Toyama and 6th prize on International Dance Competition in Nakano. She became a member of EnKnapGroup in 2015.
